We have 2 choices. To go with the flow and hope for the best… or PREPARE and feel CONFIDENT about birth. To approach it with knowledge and the know how to make INFORMED decisions. Whatever birth looks like, if you’ve gone into it with your eyes open and made informed choices along the way then THAT becomes a positive experience! When we are not informed and we lose that control of making choices due to not knowing, we end up losing autonomy of our body and self. This is YOUR BIRTH. It’s YOUR CHANCE to know and embrace the process! I promise you, once you’re able to understand, reframe and build confidence then that’s when we can really INFLUENCE our experience!

“A big thank you for all your resources! I’m 8 weeks PP and it’s taken me until now to realise that despite not having the birth I “planned”, because of your content I was in control every step of the way! I was due to be induced for a “big baby” at 38 weeks. I declined and pushed to 39 weeks. In the week coming up to this I was considering my options (BRAIN) and something told me baby was ready. The night before I was due to be induced, I felt tightenings that I knew were the start of my labour story. I had a bath with candles, followed by a nice relaxing night on the sofa with my better half. I woke at 4am with pains, at this point I started to record the contractions. These were very manageable! By 8am, we packed up our things and hit for the hospital for my induction at 9am! I arrived at the hospital and said to the midwife on duty I wouldn’t be requiring the induction as I was already in labour, to which she laughed. An hour later, I was examined (When I chose to be!) I was already 5cm dilated and moved to labour ward. I got to 10cm dilated with just a comb & FFFF. I had my midwife ask what the deal was with the comb!! Unfortunately little baba was back to back, and after hours and hours of pushing and coached pushing, and some dropped heart rates and fatigue on my behalf, my perfect little girl was delivered in theatre via forceps with the help of a spinal block! While that was no where in my birth plan, actually, quite the opposite, I felt in control every step of the way! I remembered everything from your page, and feel like my labour was still a positive experience. I wanted to share, as after I had given birth I felt like I had failed, as lots of your stories are based on natural, unmedicated births, which involve minimal intervention/tearing. Mine couldn’t be further from that – but your material still helped. Without that, I would be recovering from both an episiotomy and c-section, so thank you ❤️”

No matter who you are, what your past life or current life entails it’s safe to know that YOU can influence with the power of the mind and when you do, magical things really do start to happen!

Much love
