Unlearning what we have learnt is HARD but it is also something we must do to enable us to see the TRUTH in what is real and what isnโ€™t. Home birth ISNโ€™T DANGEROUS! Homebirth stats for uncomplicated births are in fact INCREDIBLE! Why? Because people are giving birth in THEIR home, THEIR environment, with THEIR support network or even alone. This enhances the mammalian part of our brain – our instincts kick in and no one is interrupting us. So if you have an uncomplicated pregnancy, or even if not, home birth just may be worth looking in to!

โ€œHello ๐Ÿ‘‹ sorry if it’s a long one ๐Ÿ™ƒ My first pregnancy was a relatively straight forward MLU birth, waters breaking was the start of my labour but contractions didn’t start for a few hours and then I laboured at home until 10cm and was in the pool at the hospital for pushing. Had to get out last minute and have an episiotomy as little girl was compound but whole thing was 12 hours start to finish with roughly an hour active labour. Because of this, when pregnant with number 2 I decided on a homebirth however at 37 weeks pregnant they suspended the service. I was devestated at first and didn’t have the confidence to freebirth so decided on the MLU again. I had my son 3 weeks ago, contractions started at 9pm and were about 5-7 minutes apart. I spent a couple of hours getting my oxytocin flowing using your tips and floppy face floppy fanny. As I was hoping to use the same room and pool I used for my daughters birth I called the hospital at 11:30pm so I was on their radar At this point they informed me they had closed the MLU as they were so busy and understaffed ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ซ so I would have to go to the labour ward when things picked up but if it had quietened down by time I was in active labour they might be able to open it. At this point my contractions completely stopped while I had a cry. Eventually I decided there was nothing I could do except stay home as long as possible again and then see what the situation was when I went in. I sent my husband to bed to get some rest, got on my birthing ball with my favourite film on and did nipple stimulation to try get things moving again. Things didn’t really change, surges stayed about 7 minutes apart and weren’t getting any closer or more intense. By 3:30am I decided to try rest and laid on my sofa and my waters went with a huge bang ๐Ÿ™ˆ woke my husband and got cleaned up as best as possible and let the hospital know I was coming in. I then had another huge gush of waters and suddenly everything ramped up. It was now about 4am and at this point I felt myself transitioning and told my husband there was no way we were making it to the hospital despite him assuring me we had time. 30 minutes later I knew it was time, i got on to my hands and knees leant over my sofa and in the KICO position and my body completely took over with the FER (what an incredible feeling this is!!) At 4:58am our 9lb 4oz baby boy arrived on our living room floor with no pain relief and I had nothing but a small graze. I will share FFFF and KICO with every pregnant person I know, and your page of course. Thank you!โ€

No matter who you are, what your past life or current life entails it’s safe to know that YOU can influence with the power of the mind and when you do, magical things really do start to happen!
